Avocado Brownies

If you're looking for a dense chocolatey dessert that you don't have to feel guilty over, I'm here to help. This recipe has no butter or oil but only the healthy fats of an avocado! SO... if you have that "one avocado" left sitting on your counter and the day has you craving some sweets this is a quick fix and satisfying treat!

P.S. I linked all the products I used and the best prices I could find below! Now to the recipe...

  • 1 medium Avocado

  • 1/2 Cup unsweetened Applesauce

  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract

  • 3 large Eggs Free Range

  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Flour

  • 1/2 Cup, Cocao powder

  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt

  • 1 tsp, Baking soda

  • 1/2 cup Coconut Sugar

  • 3 TbL unsweetened Almond Milk

Kitchen tools:

Food Processor

8X8 pan

-Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

-Start by pealing and roughly chopping your avocado and place into food processor, add applesauce, vanilla extract, eggs and almond milk then Blend until smooth. (You don't want any chunks!)

-After a beautiful green puree (no worries you won't be able to tell its healthy!) Add in coconut sugar, cocoa powder, coconut flour, baking soda, and sea salt.

-Once everything blended well, (mixture will still be quite thick, no worries) put in a lightly greased 8X8 Pan **optional add dairy free Chocolate-chips on top**

-Bake at 350 degrees for 25(ish) minutes. I always say for baking times is a rough estimate because with all ovens ...that I have experience, have varying heating temps. Brownies should be Firm to touch on top and toothpick should come out clean.

NOTE**I personally recommend eating these once completely Cooled! They finish setting, and the chocolate flavors become perfect. I store mine in the fridge for the week ahead. Great for a night cap with a hot cup of tea (late night snack pictured below <3)
