I know Apple Cider Vinegar has a bad rap for tasteing terrible, I grew up watching my mother drink Apple Cider Vinegar (always diluted in water) and could never understand how she could handle the taste. But atlas all these years later here I am following her footsteps and by adding a couple additional "ingredients" I too can enjoy the Benefits!
My Morning Mixer
In a Tall glass add:
I drink this for not only the Amazing Health benefits, but as my taste buds have evolved I started to tolerate and now I actually enjoy my morning concoction.
Why Turmeric Tonic?
This Aids in improving my digestion, improve mood + promote brain clarity, hopes in helping stabilize blood sugar levels. I do want to note that this mix does settle at the bottom of the glass. So I keep a tall spoon to stir before I sip. The flavor of Further-Food tonic makes it easy and delicious with their blend of warming spices that give a natural chia turmeric flavor with hints of cinnamon, cloves and ginger. You can read more about it here or see how I use this blend in a Warm Beverage HERE
Why ACV ?
First question you might have is what even its it! Apple cider vinegar is fermented juice from crushed apples. Adding yeast turns the fruit's sugar into alcohol aka this is fermentation. Bacteria turns the alcohol into acetic acid. That’s what gives vinegar its sour taste and strong smell. That gross looking brown stuff you see at the bottom and by gross looking it just so happens to be “the important stuff". This is the unpasteurized organic raw apple cider vinegar... It's called “the mother” (weird name I know) and it contains raw enzymes and gut-friendly bacteria that promote healing! So be sure to shake it up before you pour. Also aids in detoxify the liver, boost circulation, balances pH levels which helps you keep your immune system strong.
Why Lemon Juice?
Honestly for Taste...there are lost of benefits to Lemons but I find this helps balance the strong flavor of ACV and makes it Much more Tolerable to taste. I Always add this!
Lemons are known for having a large dose of vitamin C. It is a antioxidant that fight against aging of the skin (aka free radical Damage) by adding this aids in keeping your skin looking fresh!
