This Smoothie bowl reminds me of the coral reef so I wanted to name it my mermaid smoothie.🧜🏻♀️ Filled with pears and mangos gives a beautiful blend of flavors.
The stars of the show are Mango & Pears🍐 This smoothie was created becasue I had a couple soft pears that were on the edge of "going bad" ...so I chopped them up and tossed them in the freezer! I always do this with virtually ANY produce because I can always find a way to use it. In this case, a smoothie! I was lucky enough to grow up with pear trees in my front yard and now that I have created this recipe, I can’t wait to make this for my parents next time we visit the farm!
My Blender is this one from Vitamix
• 1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
• 1 cup frozen chopped pear
• splash of unsweetened vanilla coconut milk
• 2 tsp almond butter
• 1 serving vanilla protein powder
*optional but if you want to achieve that extra vibrant color, try adding in a teaspoon of a superfood powder! I used goji or beetroot poweder.
• top with toasted coconut, nuts, seeds etc.
