The Easiest Pizza Crust

This recipe is made a least a couple times a month in our house. Using protein rich red lentils and select spices making it super easy and delicious! I promise No one will know it is so healthy when it’s time to eat! This recipe that happens to be oil-free, grain-free, nut free, dairy-free... Wow, so what’s in it?! Simple ingredients:

 

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups red lentils 

  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning 

  • 1 tsp basil (or oregano)

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp salt 

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper 

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1 Tbl nutritional yeast (optional) 

  • pinch or red pepper flakes (optioal) 

 

Directions:

  1. Measure out red lentils and cover with water soak for minimum 1 hour up to 24 hours. 

  2. Drain lentils and add to a food processor (I use this one).

  3. Blend 90% smooth then add your seasoning and baking powder. Blend again until you have a smooth batter. 

  4. Using a nonstick surface like parchment paper on a baking sheet soak with a good layer of nonstick oil spray (I use this one) 

  5. Spread batter to 1/8-1/4 inch in thickness. 

  6. Bake bare crust for 20min. Remove add your sauce, toppings etc then bake or use broil setting until cheese has melted.
