Whipped Coffee! This beverage feels oh so special with every sip. I recently saw this trend going around called “Dangola Koren Coffee”.... I had to try it out myself. Let me tell you this really is delicious and so easy to make. Now I want to pass the recipe along to you!
You can use 1 or 2 tablespoons of each ingredient. I personally like one (TBS) and my husband likes two. It really depends how strong you like your coffee. Here is what you'll need:
1-2 Tablespoons Organic Instant Coffee (I use an organic decaf)
1-2 Tablespoons Coconut Sugar (or this sugar-free sweetener)
1-2 Tablespoons Very Hot Water
Directions: (click here for a instagram video of me making this drink)
Add everything to a bowl and blend with a hand mixer on high for roughly 1 min. Or until you’ve achieved soft peaks of coffee fluff. *You can whisk by hand* Just be prepared, it will take you a while!
Add Ice, 6-8oz of Plant based milk to a glass then top with your whipped coffee into and mix well. Enjoy!
Short story about my relationship with Coffee...
My dependence on this drink continued for years, but no longer is the caffeine needed. After going plant-based I found that the result of caffeinated coffee was leaving me with a jittery feeling. From the aspect of respect for my body I began to listen/watch for signs that it was time to wean myself off my morning cup(s) of black coffee. However, there is something about this steaming cup of joe I will always love, whether it’s the smell, the taste, or simply the “morning ritual” of making it. These days I no longer drink coffee on the regular but enjoy finding new ways to savor coffee! When the craving hits (which isn’t often) I use an organic decaf and relish this as a treat. It feels good to be free of my dependency on caffeine. Now I simply appreciate my “coffee break” time because I want it, not because I “need” it!
I hope this iced coffee serves you well during the summer months. Please share this blog post if you enjoyed!
