What are your plans for Valentines this year? We will most likely be staying in and eating a few too many of these "candy" bars.

5 Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup Pure Maple syrup

  • 1 cup All Natural Peanut-Butter creamy (or another nut butter if need)

  • 1/8 tsp Sea Salt (if your p.b. doesn't contain salt may want more)

  • 1 1/2 cup Crushed Organic Corn flakes (or sub millet flakes)

  • 2/3-1 cup Chocolate Chips (I use vegan chocolate)

Directions:

  1. Add cornflakes to ziplock bag & lightly crush rolling pin or whatever you want until measuring to 1+1/2 Cup, then Set aside.

  2. In a pot or sauce pan add maple syrup, Natural PeanutButter & salt over stove burner on medium-low heat. Slowly stir with a silicone spatula. Keep stirring until completely combined.

  3. Then take off the heat and add the crushed flakes to your sauce pan (of maple syrup, Peanut butter, salt ) mix until well distributed.

  4. Transfer to a parchment paper lined 8x8 baking dish & pop in freezer. Melt your chocolate in a shallow bowl.

  5. Here you have two options either cut our squares and coat the entire bar or you can just coat the top, just depends on what you have the patients for.

option 1: Let chill for at least an hour in the freezer before cutting into bars, then coat with your melted chocolate and place back in the freezer to set the chocolate.

option 2: Chill for 15 min, keep bar in pan and coat the top with chocolate and place back in the freezer for 45 min. Pop out of pan and cut into bars and enjoy!

6. Enjoy! Store in the friedge or freezer to keep them super crunchy! ❤️

p.s.

I like to use natures path organic corn flakes that are sweetened with fruit juice and not sugar.

Also using peanut butter with 1-2 ingredients (peanuts and salt) is essential for this recipe.

I hope you have a loving week and a healthy(ish) Valentines Day
