Heels up the Wall

Heels up the wall, a restorative yoga posture... but make it fabulous. I love the wellness world and I love all things beauty/fashion. My goal is to share with you these two subjects go hand in hand. Today, let’s talk legs up the wall! You can do this posture barefoot of course but slipping into a fun pair of heels won't hurt when worn in this posture.

This pose can be done any time of day and serves the body with so many benefits. Great position for those of us who are on our feet all day, stuck sitting at a desk, and anyone who needs a relaxation. Be sure to check out my favorite feathered heels that are on sale now!

This posture:

  • Gentle stretch for low back, hamstrings and calves.

Scroll below for an illustration of this posture. Here is my best description: To come into this pose you will need to lie flat on your back and take your bum as close to the wall as possible. Lift your legs straight up, snugly to the wall. Remain in a comfortable distance to rest into the stance. You should not be straining your hamstrings in this exercise but find a place where you can sit still (upside down) to relax and breathe in this posture. You can remain in pose for 5-15 min. It's best (avoid becoming light headed) to be mindful when coming out of this activity as you return into a standing position slowly.
