Our garden is flooded with radishes right now which means they have been on my roasting pans again and again these past few weeks.
Whenever you eat radishes your body will be saying thank you; in return you will be left with glowing skin! These veggies provide your skin a unique beauty booster! Radishes contain many healthy benefits but today I wanted to focus on your skin. Radishes keep dryness, acne, and pimples at bay with their high water content, Vitamin C, zinc, and phosphorus. Eating these raw gives off a peppery flavor but when you roast them it subdues the "bite" and you're left with a more tolerable and delicate taste.
Here is how I roast mine:
1 bunch Radishes
10-15 Brussels sprouts
1 purple carrot
Avocado oil (or OliveOil)
Vegan Parmesan (or regular)
Salt and Pepper
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Thoroughly wash your veggies.
Cut carrot into 1/4 inch thick coins, cut radishes into quarters and I like to leave brussels sprouts whole.
Toss cut radishes, carrot coins, and brussels and with avocado oil, salt and pepper in a bowl and use your hands to even coat all the veggies.
Spread vegetables onto prepared baking sheet; sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Roast for 25-35 min. flipping half way through baking time.
Serve Hot and top with more parmesan if needed*
I love eating seasonally because the produce is usually on sale and the flavors are perfectly ripe. I hope you give roasting radishes a chance, this is such a delicious way to bring summer produce to the table!
